I'm CAROLYN GAVIN
... a painter, illustrator, and designer based in Toronto, Canada. I’ve always been a passionate lover of painting and nature. Drawing endless inspiration from the vibrant beauty of the world around me.
As a child of the '60s growing up in South Africa, I developed a deep connection to flowers and colour, which continues to shape my artistic journey today.
My style is often described as vibrant, playful, and happy - a reflection of the inspiration I find in travel, exotic patterns and the natural world.
Whether working in gouache, watercolour, pen and ink or even oil pastels and collage, my goal is always to capture the elegance and charm of nature in a way that feels both lively and serene.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my love for painting through retreats and workshops across the globe, guiding artists of all levels to explore their creativity. Now, I’m bringing that experience online, allowing you to learn at your own pace and from the comfort of your home.
